Wokingham Canoe Club had "just another Wordpress blog" with little customization. New items continually pushed useful older posts into oblivion. KP created a page-based structure with "semi-static" pages mixing standing text and rolling news in each section; a spam-resistant contact form that produces a steady stream of enquiries; and a tailor-made events calendar. The club's site editors continue to update the site using familiar tools.
Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band needed to advertise itself to potential recruits and customers, and keep its members and the public informed about performances. KP created a modern-looking site with a custom content management system making it easy for administrators to update the engagement diary, news and other pages. Adding and arranging pictures to the gallery, with captions, is also simple.
First Choice Landscapes & Fencing Ltd. needed a site to advertise its services in Reading and surrounding area. The firm prides itself on its craftsmanship, and was able to supply photos of previous work to make an attractive gallery of its fences, gates and landscaping work. The site is based on a full content management system, so the client can add pictures and update text at any time, and further pages can be added when needed.
Reading, Wokingham and Districts MS Society required a site for local people affected by MS, to increase awareness of the help available, advertise events and provide contact details. The site has special regard for accessibility, and has a simple content management system so that busy people can update the front page, news and events quickly and simply.
